Live365 Broadcaster (our web-based platform) is currently compatible with the streaming of either .MP3 and .M4A files. Those are the only file types that you can upload to your Live365 media library. Other types of files will not show up in your library if you try to upload them.
If you would like to use other formats (OGG, .wma, .flac etc.), you can either convert them into .MP3s, or use another software in conjunction with Live365 in order to broadcast live. The MP3 files should be 128kbps bit rate and 44.1 kHz sample rate for best results.
Live365 is compatible with several 3rd-party live DJ and automation programs. If you are using a 3rd party software, you may be able to stream different file types by using our LiveDJ feature to connect an Icecast2 stream directly to Live365. The files types that you can use will then depends on which 3rd party software you are using. You can read more about 3rd-party software compatible to with Live365 here.
