TuneIn is an independent 3rd party website and mobile application which allows listeners to search and connect to online radio stations. Setting up a TuneIn profile for your Live365 station is optional, but recommended. Using TuneIn is a good way to attract new listeners to your station. TuneIn users can search for radio stations by location, genre or style. TuneIn can be used on many devices such as tablets, phones and computers.
How do I add my station to the TuneIn directory?
(Please note, Several broadcasters have indicated that submission only submissions via the Chrome and Firefox browsers are being accepted. Submissions from IE and Edge will fail)
Step 1) To get started with TuneIn go to their website and sign up for an account. Familiarize yourself with the TuneIn interface. The TuneIn URL is: tunein.com .
Step 2) Once your Live365 station is up and running, with at least 4 hours or non-repeating music, you should be able to qualify your station for submission to TuneIn. Be sure to use the AutoDJ feature in Live365 to make sure that you don't have any dead air.
Go to this url: http://tunein.com/syndication/new/?IsBroadcaster=true to submit your station to the directory.
This will take you to a page where you can enter all the information for your Live365 radio station. Enter all the required fields with your Live365 Station details.
Step 3) To find your stream URL, you will need to log in to your Live365 instance. In Live365, click on the Settings in your Navigation bar.
Select the Station Profile tab, then scroll down to the "Listen Links". The first quick link is your streaming URL:
Step 4) Go back to Tunein and enter it in the "Stream URL" area.
Step 5) Fill in as much information on the TuneIn station sign-up form as you can. The more information that you can add, the easier it will be for new listeners to interact with your Live365 station.
Step 6) When you are done filling in the sign-up form, click the "Sign Me Up!" button at the bottom of the page.
It will take TuneIn at least 24 hours to approve your application.
