Live365 takes pride in being able to be configured on multiple platforms. As long as your encoder can push an Icecast2 stream and send valid metadata, you can use it.
Note: The Altacast plugin for RadioDJ must be installed separately. If you do not have the Altacast plugin for RadioDJ installed, you must first install it before proceeding. Information on how to download and install the Altacast plugin can be found here.
Here are step-by-step instructions for setting up RadioDJ:
Step 1) Download a copy of RadioDJ: http://www.radiodj.ro/download
Step 2) Log in to your Live365 Broadcaster dashboard here. (Login Required)
Step 3) Locate the Station Information area on your Dashboard, as shown below:
Step 4) Next, click on the orange “Live Stream Details” button.
Step 5) The “Setup Instructions” window should appear similar to the one shown below:
Leave this window open as you will need to transfer this information into RadioDJ.
Step 6) In RadioDJ, ensure the Altacast tab is selected, and press the “+” button at the bottom to add a new encoder.
Step 7) Enter the encoder information to match what was provided in the Live365 “Setup Instructions” window, and press “Save Stream” at the bottom of the window.
Step 8) The encoder should connect automatically and begin broadcasting.
When you broadcast live, you will override any scheduled Events and AutoDJ in the Live365 Broadcaster. Live365 Broadcaster may be used as a fallback, in the event your RadioDJ application crashes or goes offline.
Please remember that even when you are broadcasting live, your files must transmit the correct metadata for copyrighted content (Artist - Title). If you are part of the Ad Revenue Share Program, you must also manually insert our ad trigger files.
