This is how you can change the information displayed on your profile page and pop-out player: station logo, cover art, music genres, social media links and access your custom widgets and address of your pop-out player.
Clicking on the Settings tab of the Navigation Bar expands the "Settings" tab to reveal several additional tabs. In this article, we will cover the items in the "Station Profile" tab:
Station Profile tab
The settings in this tab will affect the look of your station page, pop-out player and your presence in the Live365 station directory. In the Station Profile tab, you will also find HTML widgets for use in your personal webpages. The Station Profile tab is also where you can temporarily turn off your station stream to avoid going over your TLH. All of these features are covered in greater detail below.
You can adjust your station logo, station name, music genres, cover art, social media links and station description (all pictured above).
Station Logo & Station Name
At the top of the station profile pane you will see your current station logo and station name. You can change your station name by typing in the Station Name Text box. Station names should be no more than 40 characters long.
The ideal size for your station logo is 300px by 300px, but most importantly your image should be square. Click on the red “Upload Logo” button to change your station logo. You will need to have the new image already saved on your device. Any standard image format is fine (.jpg, .gif, etc.)
Your station logo is shown in the Live365 station directory and on your Live365 station page. Your logo will also appear at the top of you station’s pop-out player.
Just below the Station Name textbox, you will see an area where you can add genres. You have probably already added a few genres already in your initial station set-up. Adding genres will help your listeners get a better idea of the style of music that you’re playing. Click in the textbox to view the drop-down menu of pre-generated genres. The Live365 station directory at www.live365.com/listen is sorted according to music genres. Your station will appear under multiple categories if you list multiple types of genres here. You can choose as many genres as you like that will fit within the text area provided. Begin typing a genre like “Blues” in the textbox and the main genres and sub-genres will also appear for you to choose from. If you do not see a genre you need and you’d like to have it included in the directory, email our support team: support@live365.com.
Don’t forget to click the "Save All Changes" button in the top right corner of the pane.
Station Profile Cover Art
On your station page in the Live365 directory, your station logo will be backed by a cover art of your choice. Changing the cover art is a great way to make your station page stand out!
Live365 provides a few default cover art options to choose from. Click on the Gallery tab to see your default options.
Click on the red “Select” button below your desired image to choose that as your new cover art.
To upload a custom cover art, click the red "Upload Cover Art" button to the right. For best results, please submit cover art that is 960px wide by 342px tall. Any standard image format is fine. Customizing your cover art can help give your station page a more unique feel.
Don’t forget to click the "Save All Changes" button in the top right corner of the page.
Social Links
The links in this section will appear on your pop-out player and on your Live365 station page, as shown above.
Enter your social media links in each textbox. If you don’t have a social media site of a certain type, just leave the textbox blank. The unused icons will not appear on your station page or pop-out player. Please make sure to have the URL start with http:// or https://
Station Description
Your station description appear on your station page in the Live365 station directory.
Don’t know what to write? Try describe your genres of music, your favourite artists, or let your listeners know a little bit about yourself and where you’re from. The content of your station description is up to you!
